Learn the rules to break the rules

Life is a paradox. This is a common theme in my blog posts, especially if you're a repeat reader. The preciousness of human life lies in its fragility and its plethora of potential hindrances, which result in the momentary salvation of health. This is a borrowed idea from many philosophers as well as modern pop psychologist Dr. Peterson (I am indeed a fan).
In my personal aesthetic choices, I see no rigid lines. However, according to internet anthropologists and style gurus, they may deliver their fashion rules as law. This could not be further from the essence of aesthetics in my opinion. The beauty of a Mona Lisa or a fractured Japanese vase repaired with gold lies in its mimicking of God's design—perfect imperfection.
The human eye gravitates towards things with a human touch... a slightly crooked line resembling a vein or a tree root, etc. Therefore, as a style and aesthetic connoisseur, I took it upon myself to study various cultural and subcultural trends or themes. Over time, the patterns in my mind began to appear. Some utilitarian, some a blatant show of opulence and absurdity.
In modern times, we are always making impressions upon the world. We then must ask ourselves, are we making the intended impression? Are we conveying the message we want to convey? Because I say again, no matter what—in our era, aesthetics and our personal image are our biggest investments. Does your current manifestation of your body or project convey the intended message? In my case, the message is enigmatic and amorphous, inspired by my personal interests, world travels, and ever-curious eye searching for novel inspiration in the depths of hyperspace or on planet Earth.
